Who we are
Haizain Construction is a general building contractor based in Manchester, working across Greater Manchester and the North West. In data protection terms we are the data controller for the information you give us through this website.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, contact us on 07549 499516 or office@haizainconstruction.co.uk.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through our contact and quote forms:
- Your name
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- The project location and details you describe
- Where you heard about us
We do not ask for payment details through this website, and we do not collect anything about you unless you send it to us.
Why we use it and our lawful basis
We use your details for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry and, if you go ahead, to quote for and carry out the work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, namely responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch, and where the work proceeds, performance of a contract with you.
We will not use your details for marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Where we carry out work for you, we keep the records for six years after the job finishes, as we are required to for tax, insurance and warranty purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with anyone for marketing. We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our enquiries:
- Web3Forms delivers the contact and quote form submissions to our inbox.
- Google Firebase hosts this website and stores our project portfolio.
- Cloudinary stores and delivers the photos and videos of our work.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used on the site.
These providers process data on our behalf, and some of them operate servers outside the UK. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the safeguards those providers have in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent standard contractual clauses.
We may also share information where we are legally required to, for example with HMRC or building control.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics, and there is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The only thing stored in your browser is a small item used by the video player in our project gallery, which saves its icons so the gallery loads faster. It is strictly necessary for that feature, holds no personal information and is not used to identify or follow you. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format.
To exercise any of these, just contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled things, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Keeping your information safe
This website is served entirely over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Form submissions are transmitted securely, and access to our project records is protected by a password protected login limited to authorised people.
